You might wait till your opponent and the referee come online together. If they don't I think the referee might disqualify the inactive participants and add new ones.The same thing was done in the previous racing tournament.

Suggestion:

I think Hydra should announce a date for the leftover matches in Round 1. Those who don't come online on the given date shall be disqualified and replaced by someone who is online that time or an auto win should be given to the opponent.

Note: This is just a suggestion.
